Our client wanted to modernise its 20+ year old TITAN IV (IEC) switchboards by replacing obsolete equipment, in this case the circuit breakers, while ensuring the availability of spare parts.
The proper functioning of its electrical distribution equipment is crucial to ensure the continuity of service of a data centre in the banking environment. The renovation of aging LV switchboards is a cost-effective solution to extend their service life while ensuring continuity of service, reliability and a high level of security without the need to replace the entire installation.
Aware of the obsolescence of the circuit breakers and switches, the client chose to retrofit its LVBs in order to modernise and perpetuate its installation while renewing its stock of spare parts.
The retrofit of its equipment also guarantees continuity of service, limiting production stoppages and emergency interventions, increasing the reliability of its installation while reducing the risk of breakdowns and minimising outage times.
The interventions were carried out while respecting the constraints of limiting production stoppages and emergency interventions, while reducing the time of outages as much as possible.
See our offers dedicated to Data Centres.
The project was carried out by our teams of qualified technicians, all in compliance with the standards and deadlines as well as in accordance with the manufacturer's manufacturing rules. The client was also able to benefit from the support and expertise of our Engineering Department.
The following services were provided:
The equipment retrofit was carried out over a two-year period in 28 interventions. These interventions were carried out with the low-voltage switchgear disconnected, with disconnection times ranging from 4 hours to 21 hours.
Following the detection of the obsolescence of its equipment, our client chose to modernise and extend the life of its electrical installation to ensure the optimal and continuous operation of its Datacenter. Thanks to the retrofit of all its equipment by COMECA Services, since September 2021 it benefits from:
