Comeca Tech Lab: Project Supported by the State and the Pays de la Loire Region

We're thrilled to announce the kickoff of our innovation project, the Comeca Tech Lab. As part of the France 2030 program, our initiative is financially backed by the State and the Pays de la Loire Region, totaling €800,000, underlining our commitment to regional economic development.

State and Regional Support for Innovation

The France 2030 program, focused on regional economic development, places innovation at its core. With a financial commitment of €33.5 million over the 2022-2025 period, the State and the Region actively support SMEs and ETIs in their innovation dynamics. The goal is to stimulate the creation and maintenance of sustainable and qualified jobs in the region.

In the "Improvement and Transformation of Sectors" Call for Projects within the regionalized France 2030 Program, we presented an ambitious project for the creation of the Comeca Tech Lab. This high-tech center will house a unit dedicated to Research and Development (R&D) and innovation, a zone for prototype and pre-series manufacturing, a testing laboratory, and a space dedicated to training.

Objectives and Strategic Domains

The Comeca Tech Lab aims to develop and share technological and industrial capabilities to accelerate the development of innovative solutions in strategic segments such as Hydrogen, Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, Nuclear, and Data Centers. This center will serve not only our internal units but will also be open to our customers, suppliers, industry partners, and research entities.

Emmanuel Aubry, Prefect of Sarthe, emphasizes the project's significance in the context of the France 2030 plan, stating, "The COMECA TECH LAB project fully aligns with the plan's dynamics. It strengthens industrial sovereignty in innovative and strategic market segments."

Commitments to Energy Transition

Christelle Morançais, President of the Pays de la Loire Region, expresses pride in the regional support for the Comeca Tech Lab. She highlights the project's contribution to structuring the hydrogen sector and advancing the energy transition in alignment with regional goals and ecosystems.

Gael Dutheil de la Rochère, President of the COMECA Group, affirms the company's commitment to energy transition and new mobilities. "We commit to developing innovative solutions, especially for optimizing vehicle charging infrastructure and green hydrogen production."

Institutional Support and Future Outlook

The Comeca Tech Lab represents a major investment in the future, supported by the State, the Pays de la Loire Region, and Le Mans Development. The establishment of this high-tech center demonstrates the capacity of companies to transform sustainably through technological innovation to address ecological challenges and enhance the attractiveness of regions.
