McPhy & AAK Sweden on the road to clean hydrogen

McPhy Energy, a recognized specialist in low-carbon hydrogen production and distribution equipment, has joined forces with AAK, a leading Swedish edible oil processor. This partnership is part of a sustainable industrial approach, with the supply of a 4 MW McLyzer 800-30 electrolyzer for the AAK plant in Sweden.
Clean hydrogen for edible oils
The McLyzer electrolyserlectrolyseur McLyzer enables AAK to renew its equipment by switching from traditional hydrogen supply to local, low-carbon production. The hydrogen produced will be used as process gas in the oil hydrogenation process.. This process is essential for modifying the texture, improving preservation and adjusting the melting point of edible oils. Thanks to this installation, AAK will be able to secure its hydrogen supply while significantly reducing its CO₂ emissions.
