They will ensure electrical distribution and lighting of the SIBA gas field, situated some 30km southeast of Basra in Iraq.** The project is managed by the COMECA SYSTEMES teams for a “made in France” switchboards manufacturing. This new gas field involves an expertise and a mastering of Oil & Gas standards in an “indoor” and “outdoor” environment. In response to these requirements, the Distribution Boards supplied by COMECA will be totally compliant to specific standards such as IEC 60529 to respect protection index, EN 12464-1 for indoor installations and EN 12464-2 for outdoor installations. *“Besides offering a solution best adapted to the customer specification, teams’ reactivity, flexibility through our local presence as well as the “made in France” solution are key factors which contributes to the good project execution”* comments Soufiane Ait Amara, Area Sales Manager for the Middle East region. Switchboards delivery is planned for November 2016, for a commissioning before the end of the year. This gas project marks the beginning of a new collaboration with a key actor of the Arabian Peninsula.
